She was predeceased by: her parents, John Norwood Seegars and Lizzie Belle Thornhill Seegars; her husband Samuel Moode Wheeler, Jr.; and her siblings, James Seegars and Myrlene Pierce.
She is survived by: her sons, David A. Wheeler (Suzette) of Florence and S. Michael Wheeler (Brandi) of Manning; her grandchildren, Jessica W. Evans (Charles), Alison Anderson (Bryan), Harley W. Langton (Cordell) and Alison W. Taylor (Justin); her stepgrandson Jeffrey Hyman, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Jett Evans, Stella Evans, Devon P. Taylor, Emma Anderson and Myles Anderson; and her sister Jonnie Faye Seegars Thomas of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
