It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eloise Wilson of Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eloise Wilson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Grover C.; her former husband Harold L. Yarborough; her husband Calvin Cyrus; her daughter Angie "Lynn" Yarborough Coward; her brother Carlton L. "Buck" Poston; her stepdaughter Phyllis Preston; and her son-in-law Andy Burroughs.
She is survived by: her children, Poston (Ruth Powell Poston), Janet Burroughs, Shirleen Cook (Jimmy) and Kathy Welch (Casey); her grandchildren, Andrew Burroughs, Ryan Yarborough, Jamie Cook, Leslie McClam (Kyle), Christopher Welch (Heather), Bradley Welch, Karri Coward, Owen Cook and Daniel Cook; her great grandchildren, Addisyn, Sawyer, Levi, Caleb and Emerson; her stepdaughter Linda McCall; her sister Mildred Owens; her son-in-law Garry Coward; and her close friends, Mark McMurtrey, Al Cribb and Jill Tidwell. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home Chapel (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at the Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
