It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Hux of Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on July 19, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Inez Amerson Lewis and William Harvey Lewis. She is survived by: her daughter Joan Hux Hicks; her grandsons, John Hicks (Becky) and Jim Hicks; her great grandchildren, Hunter Hicks (Kelsey), Taylor Cowick (Emmet) and Chloe Hicks (Lonnie); her great great grandchild Drake Lee Cowick; her siblings, Nina Lucas of Halifax, NC, Billy Lewis of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Dot Faulkner of James Island, SC, Jeanette Gamble of Lexington, NC and Jimmy Lewis; her close friends, Bill Burton of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Frankie Tanner (Jessie); and her pet Lacy.
