He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Bailey and Irene Hinds Bailey; his daughter Scarlett Manning; and his siblings, Wilbur Bailey and Patricia Skinner.

He is survived by: his wife Tonia Creel Bailey; his children, Thad Bailey of Florence, Elizabeth Winstead (Jeff) of Florence and Landess Johnson (Randall) of Rocky Mount, NC; and his brother Hubert Bailey (Linda) of Florence. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
