With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Franklin Player (Florence, South Carolina), who passed away on November 12, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cameron Player and Beulah Miller Saleeby; his wife Geraldine Campbell Player; and his sons, Timothy Player, Michael Player and Richard Player.
He is survived by: his son Danny Franklin Player; his grandchildren, Heather Player, Amber Player, Danny Player, Jr., Brittany Player, Christian Player and Trey Player; and his great grandchildren, Lila, Eason and Oliver.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Layton-Anderson Funeral Home (4210 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Florence Memorial Gardens (3320 S Cashua Dr, Florence, SC 29501).
