It is with sadness that the passing of Fumi Miyaguni Hicks (Florence, South Carolina) is shared. Fumi, born on September 28, 1932, passed away on October 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Fumi will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her husband Dewey Hicks. She is survived by: her daughters, Debby Gandy, Peggy Meddaugh Urquhart (Ted) and Linda Bryant (Kenney); and her grandchildren, Eron Gandy, Elisa Gandy Pavia (Erik) and Hannah Gandy.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Free Will Baptist Church (2624 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Fumi's church, First Free Will Baptist Church (Florence, SC), or to the Florence County Disabilities Foundation, or alternatively, think of Fumi and share a smile with everyone you meet today.
