She is survived by: her husband Richard Shirley; her children, Melissa Puckett Jackson and Bradley Shives-Shirley (Lindsey); her siblings, Peggy Davenport (Steve) of Phoenix, AZ, Robert McBride III (Sara) of Hartfield, VA, Gerry Glascock (Mark) of Seaford, VA and Richard McBride of DeBary, FL; and her granddaughters, Abigail, Kristin Jackson and Adeline Shives-Shirley.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Compassion Church (401 Pamplico Hwy, Florence, SC 29505). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Gail requests donations be made to Compassion Church of Florence or The Hope Center Ministries for Women in Florence in memory of Gail Shirley.
