He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Grady and Mary Elise Gowdy Gibbs; his wife Mary "Tommie" Gibbs; and his brother Vernon Gibbs. He is survived by: his children, Ann Stauber Dowdy (Scott), John Stauber and Rush Anderson; his grandchildren, Ethan Dowdy, Brennan Dowdy and Lauren Stauber; his siblings, Bobby Gibbs (Carolyn), Charles Gibbs (Janice), Mary Spigner and Patricia Bickett; and his sister-in-law Martha Gibbs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
