She was predeceased by: her parents, Doley Vincent Martin and Tora Elizabeth Fenters Martin; her husband Ernest C. "Clyde" McElveen; and her siblings, Edith Houghtaling, Barbara Ann Heil, Snooks, Jr., Pappy, Doley Vincent and Albert Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Carter, Jr. (Donna), Larry Carter (Cynthia), Timothy Carter (Susan), Daniel Carter (Wendy), Tony Carter (Candy) and Linda Young (Wally); and the father of her children Thomas Carter, Sr.. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
