He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Fredrick Black and Lois Elizabeth Oakley Black. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Betsy" Black; his children, James Hyatt, Amanda Duren and Melissa Black; his daughter-in-law Deana Hyatt of Florence; his grandchildren, Elijah Duren, Anthony Duren of Sandi O'Steen, R. J and Bri Watkins; and his great grandchild Jackson Duren.
