He was predeceased by: his parents, George Albert Carey and Ruth Buckley Carey. He is survived by: his wife Jane Oliver Watkins Carey of Florence; his children, Jan Kirven (Bill) and Jackie Hall (Rob); his grandchildren, Blake Kirven (Lauren), Molly Norton (William), Grace Horton (Chris), Sarah Parrish, Daniel Parrish and Logan Hall; and his great grandchildren, Hampton Kirven, Olive Norton, Caroline Horton and Lydia Horton.
