He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Smith Cook of Florence; his children, Mark Cook (Janell) of Sumner, TX and Stephanie Spivey (David) of Florence, SC; his grandson Brad Cook (Luz) of Allen, TX; his stepgreat-grandson Samir; and his siblings, Dale Cook of Lexington, SC and Betty J. Deshong (Fred) of West Columbia, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in James' memory to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Florence Area Humane Society or charity of choice.
