He was predeceased by: his father James David Hendrick, Sr.; his sister Donette Hendrick Shaw; and his grandparents, Carl Poston (Anne) and Donnie Calcutt. He is survived by: his mother Donna Anne Calcutt Hendrick; his wife Cynthia Ann Hendrick; his children, James D. Hendrick III and Karrington Hendrick (Andrew); his stepson Alex Foxworth; his grandson Lucian Seigler; his aunts and uncles, Carl L. Poston, Don Hendrick, Debbie Poston and Janet Lynn Poston; his close friend Barry Teel; his parents-in-law, Judy L. Chavis and Earnest B. Chavis; his sister-in-law Billie H. Mitchell (Allen); and his nephew Chase R. Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Tans Bay Baptist Church, 3919 S Irby St, Florence, SC 29505.
