It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M. Stewart Jr. of Florence, South Carolina, born in Cades, South Carolina, who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marion, Sr. and Alice Anderson Stewart; his wife Joan Flowers Stewart; and his son Samuel Bernice Stewart. He is survived by: his friend Nancy Waring; his son James Marion Stewart, III (Marta); his daughter-in-law Karen M. Stewart of Columbia; his sister Pearl Stewart Goude of Gloucester, VA; his adoptive daughter Cindy (Stroup); Jessica and Jason of Florence.
