He was predeceased by: his parents, James Patrick Tansey and June Tansey. He is survived by: his wife Ann Lautares Tansey of Florence, SC; his daughter Karla McAdams (Seth) of Pawcatuck, CT; his grandchildren, Madelyn McAdams and Ethan McAdams; his stepdaughters, Robynne McMillan and Hannah McMillan Collins (Sean); and his siblings, Marsha, Gail Buckley (Brian), Mark (Penny), Greg (Joan), Jeff (Debbie) and Matt (Cris). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Saints' Anglican Church.
