He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Padgett and James M. Padgett; and his granddaughter McKayla Smith. He is survived by: his wife Clara Faye Padgett; his children, James D. Padgett (Michell), Jabea L. Talbert and Jaclyn Graves (Rhett); his grandchildren, Rachel M. Griffin, Jessie Graves (Lucas Cooper), Haiden A. Graves, Carter P. Graves, Hanna Padgett, Brad Stone and Erin Smith; his great grandchildren, Charlie Mae Cooper and Jacob Lee Hall; and his sister Candace Hodge.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Church (1883 S Pamplico Hwy, Pamplico, SC 29583).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Church or the Bobby Clarke Memorial "Reel Kids, Reel Fun" Fishing Tournament.
