He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Hampton Young, Sr. and Sarah Margaret Broach Young; his wife Judith Yarborough Young; and his sons, Johnnie Kevin Young and Dr. Richard Hampton Young.
He is survived by: his son Micah Young (Christy) of Florence; his daughters-in-law, Melody Young of Manteo, NC and Robin Young of Florence; his sisters, Jane Walters of Florence, Maude Moss of Florence and Frances Sims of Florence; his grandchildren, Rachel Young Powell (Hunter) of Florence, McKenzie Young of Charlotte, NC, Taylor Jordan (Corey) of Scranton, Carla Landon (Vic) of Florence and Thomas Young of Florence; and his great grandchildren, Jameson, Easton Powell, Caroline, Grayson and Hazel Landon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
