With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Carol Lee (Florence, South Carolina), born in Nichols, South Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Lee and Elizabeth Lee; his son Clayton Lee; and his siblings, Gladys Coleman, Thomas Beverly Lee and Marvin Harold Lee.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy Waters; his children, Earnest Lee of Trenton, NJ and Carolyn Lee of Ocean Township, NJ; his brother James Lee (Theodora) of Manhattan, NY; his great grandchildren, Mario Serrano of Wesley Chapel, FL, Kabori Ramsey, Kayden, Kendall and Kalila; his mother-in-law Earnestine Waters of Nichols, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Owens, Sarah Strickland, Vonnie Waters, Marlene Waters, Elaine Davis of Nichols, SC, Terria McDuffie (Bobby), Johnny Waters (Linda) of Boynton Beach, FL, Earl Waters (Essie), Leroy Waters (Tasha) and Dillon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other children.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations and contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church, Florence, SC or Morris College, Sumter, SC.
