He is survived by: his wife Suzanne McDaniel Jones; his children, Cecily "Bebe" Jones Smith (Chip) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Charlotte Jones Smith (Clay) of Florence and Laban Chappell "Chap" Jones, Jr. (Mary) of Summerville, SC; his grandchildren, Whit Smith (Ryan) of Charleston, Taylor Smith (Savannah) of Myrtle Beach, Laban Jones of Denver, CO, Sarah Jones of Summerville, Cecily Smith of Florence, Wiley Smith of Florence and Chappell Smith of Florence; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer of Charleston, Tucker Smith of Charleston and Emerson Smith of Myrtle Beach. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
