He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Oscar Watts, Sr. and Mary Early Watts; his wife Linda Bass Watts; and his sister Martha Brunson. He is survived by: his brother Buddy Watts; his aunt Cecilia Disher (Puggy); his uncle Eddie Early; and his nieces, Julie Parker (Chris) and Priscilla Russell (Charles).
