It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie Grice Jr. of Florence, South Carolina, born in Marion, South Carolina, who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Lonnie may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Perseus Leondias and Ruby Perritt Grice; and his siblings, William "Billy" Grice, Stevie Grice, Jeanette Suggs and Elaine Duvall.
He is survived by: his close friend Faye C. Keels of Florence; his daughter Lisa Grice Suggs (McIver) of Darlington; his sister Sabre L. Edwards of Marietta, GA.; and his granddaughter Caroline Suggs.
