It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marguerite Register Alphin of Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Lee Register, Sr. and Mildred Brown Register of Rose Hill; her husband Dr. John Gilbert Alphin; her son John Gilbert Alphin Jr.; her grandson Clayton Moore Alexander; and her brother Edwin Lee Register Jr. of Rose Hill.
She is survived by: her sibling's children, Gilbert Edwin Alphin (Karen Rud Alphin) of Kure Beach, NC and JoAnn Alphin Alexander of Florence, SC; her sister Edith Register Brinkley of Teachey, NC; her in-laws, Vance, Ann Alphin of Mount Olive, Audrey, Donald Lindsay of Mount Olive, Eva May and Kenneth Avent of Faison; Callie Frances Bailey (Joseph Ryan Bailey) of Florence, SC, Nicolas Ryan Bailey, Anna Ryan Bailey, Eva Grace Bailey, Noah Alexander Bailey, Anita Alphin Bryan (William Smith Bryan Jr.) of Mount Pleasant, SC, John Houston Bryan, Macaulay Grace Bryan and Catherine Blanchard Register of Rose Hill, NC. She is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tyndall Funeral Home (1005 N Church St, Mt Olive, NC 28365).
