He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Francis Filipiak, Sr. and Antionette Filipiak; his wife Susan Lynn Spellbring Filipiak; and his brothers, Walter, Eddie and Freddie Filipiak.
He is survived by: his son Anthony Filipiak, Sr. (Anna Scnitzler); his adoptive sons, Daryl Combs, Dean Combs and Jake Jacobson; and his grandchildren, Alexis, Anthony Jr., Amanda, Kenny, Heather, Christine, Race and Dalton. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (2536 Hoffmeyer Rd, Florence, SC 29501).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Florence Area Humaine Society or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
