He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Elizabeth Hathaway (Bates) and John Lewman Hathaway; and his brother John Samuel. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Hammond (Dee); his daughter Beth Doty; his son-in-law Dwight Doty; his grandson Jordan Woodberry (Sierra); his daughter Peggy Shiflett (Mike); his son-in-law Nathan Shiflett; his grandsons, Justin Shiflett (Leah), Eric Shiflett (Sarah) and Kyle Shiflett (Lindsey); and his great grandchildren, Cooper, Colby Shiflett and Sage Woodberry.
