He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Hudson and William Hudson, Jr.; his wife Deborah Culp Hudson; and his siblings, Brenda Jordan (Buck), James Hudson, Roger Lynn Hudson and Johnny Ray Hudson.

He is survived by: his sons, Rob Hudson and Justin Hudson; his granddaughters, Lillyanne Johnson and Hope Hudson; his brothers, William Hudson and Gary Dean Hudson (Pam); and his niece Lynn Ransey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Pediatric Cancer Research.
