He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Kaye Meigs Long; and his sister Brenda Long Nichols. He is survived by: his children, Ron Jr. (Sheril), Michael (Theresa) and Morgan Charles (Jay VanDerZee); his grandchildren, Hailey Robb (Austin), Courtney Walker (Cole), Riley, Zoe, Reese, Henry, Abigail, Lucy and Faith; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Carter, Connor and Cross.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Faith Chapel (3609 Hoffmeyer Rd, Florence, SC 29501).
