She is survived by: her husband Charles E. Courtney Jr.; her children, Arin Blue Smith and Lt. Colonel Charles E. Courtney, III; her children-in-law, Daniel and Kristyn; her grandchildren, Fisher, Drake, Kaila, Madelyn, Beatrix and Oliver; her siblings, Elizabeth G. Stevens, Janet Groom Dubose (James) of Florence and John Groom (Heather) of New Zealand; and her fiancé Pat Price.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home (512 2nd Loop Rd, Florence, SC 29505).

In her honor, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice, continuing her legacy of generosity and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant a tree in her memory.
