She is survived by: her mother Patricia Thomas Powell; her husband Charles Patrick Kelly, Jr.; her children, Christopher Powell Kelly and Sloan Amber Kelly; her sister Hollie; her brother-in-law Chad Johnson; her nephews, Coleman Johnson and Boone Johnson; her in-laws, Pat and Betty Kelly; her siblings-in-law, Paul Kelly and Kim Kelly; her niece Ryan Kelly; her nephew Grey Kelly; and her friends, Dawn Blackmon and Paula Krell. She is also survived by many extended family members, friends.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks friends and loved ones to honor Shannon's memory by sponsoring a child this Christmas at Royall Elementary School, North Myrtle Beach Middle School, or St. James Intermediate School, spreading joy to children in her name.
