We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2025, Sharon Adele Elmquist of Florence, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Sharon Adele shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Sharon Adele farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Otto and Norma Otto; and her sister Patty Brown. She is survived by: her children, Michelle Elmquist and Aaron Elmquist; and her sisters, Cynthia, Carol and Terry.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ann Catholic Church (113 State Rd S-21-352, Florence, SC 29506). A burial was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM.

Memorials may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church food pantry fund.

“Today, I have been reflecting on the many engagements Sharon and I had together. In earlier days, she always drove to PA and I was privileged to see her on her visits in. We traveled together to see the Pope in Toronto over 25 yrs ago. We spoke on the phone several times a year with updates about our families. She never forgot a holiday or my birthday with a phone call or a special meme message. Her last text message to me was on Easter Sunday. She was my cousin and my friend. 😢🥰”
