He was predeceased by: his father James Lee Powell; and his brother James Ernest Powell. He is survived by: his mother Audrey Horne Powell-Welch (Darby); his wife Marilyn Robertson Powell; his children, Avery Powell (Nikki) and Jessica McElveen; his granddaughter Anslee Powell; his brother Ricky Powell (Pam); his siblings-in-law, Ruby Westmoreland (Buddy), Lori Holden (Kenneth), Tracey Dempsey (Alan) and Mark Robertson (Colleen); and his niece Jordan Heath. He is also survived by five loving aunts and one uncle.
