He was predeceased by: his parents, Garris William and Sallie Burnette Spring McKenzie; his brothers, Garris Barnette McKenzie (Gail Reddick McKenzie) and Bobby Wayne McKenzie (Genevieve); and his niece Devin Shaffer.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Vause McKenzie of Timmonsville; his son Mark Thomas McKenzie (Laura McKay Evans) of Timmonsville; and his sister Phyllis Ann Shaffer (Frank) of Summerton, SC..
