He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Carroll and Marjorie Carroll; and his sisters, Fatih Carroll and Sharleen Kindley. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ellen Swain Carroll; his children, Deborah "Debbie" Carroll Anderson (David) of Florence, SC, Joel Andrew Carroll of Columbia, SC and Nathan Patrick Carroll (Robin) of Columbia, SC; his grandson Joshua Bryan Anderson of Florence, SC; and his sister Nancy Carroll Wood of Asheboro, NC..
