He was predeceased by: his parents, Watson Marion Tolson and Rebecca T. Compton; and his sisters, Kathleen T. Broadway and Marian T. Gray. He is survived by: his wife Amelia Ann Tolson; his children, Watson Tolson (Marie) and Anna Marie Strickland (Eddie); his grandchildren, Andrew Tolson (Hannah), Kayla Keith (Shane), Chase Strickland (Lexi) and Alex Tolson (Gracie); and his great grandchildren, Mason, Jase, Loeffler, Brewer, Harper of Silas, W. A. and Whitt.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Layton-Anderson Funeral Home (4210 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lynchburg First Baptist Church (288 Church St, Lynchburg, SC 29080).
