He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, McRae Peavey Dewitt and William Howard DeWitt, Sr.; his wife Theodora Odom DeWitt; his children, Tim DeWitt (Theodora) of Florence, Stephen Ham (Angie) of Florence, Tonya Hutchinson (Michael) of Sarasota, FL and Stephanie Ham Sturkie of Florence; and his brother Jerry Wayne DeWitt (Lynn) of Florence. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
