She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Barnette Alexander and Raymond Hammond; her sister Arnetta Gale Hammond; and her aunt Lurlene Barnette McCurley. She is survived by: her husband Raul Navarrete; her children, Edward Navarrete (Sarah) and Stacey Navarrete; her cousins, Koleta King and Jody McCurley; and her granddaughters, Eliza, Madeline and Mary Stuart Navarrete.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (604 Fort Johnson Rd, Charleston, SC 29412). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the James Island Yacht Club (734 Wampler Dr, Charleston, SC 29412).
