He was predeceased by : his parents, Bazel Bunyan Sheppard and Lizzie Marie Tindall Sheppard. He is survived by : his children, Dr. Barry Bazel Sheppard of Oakland, CA and Sandra Lyn S. Van Valkenburg (Jeff) of Alpharetta, GA; his brother William Macon Sheppard II of Clemson, SC; and his nieces and nephews, William Macon Sheppard III, Evan Hays Sheppard, Rosemary S. Parham and Gina Sheppard Huckabee.
