He was predeceased by: his father Gary Lynn Burkholder. He is survived by: his mother Diane Burkholder; his wife Leslie Drakeford Burkholder; his children, Justin Andrew Burkholder, Dylan Drakeford Burkholder (Allyson) and Abigail Grace Burkholder; his grandchildren, Bristol Grace Burkholder, Blake Lambert Burkholder and Andi Brynn Burkholder; and his sister Rebecca Burkholder (Mike).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lifepointe Church, 390 York Southern Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715; or Adult Enrichment Center, adultenrichmentcenters.org or 105 Lestina Ct, Fort Mill, SC 29715 where his son, Justin, attends a program for special needs adults.
