He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Hipp, Sr. and Martha Ruth Currence Hipp. He is survived by: his wife Gale Mygatt Hipp; his daughter Jane Hipp Edwards (Ron) of Fort Mill; his grandchildren, Kendrick William Edwards and Luke Winchester Edwards; his son John Talmadge Hipp (Annette) of Fort Mill; his grandsons, John W. Hipp III and Michael Wayne Hipp; his sister Joyce Hipp White of Fort Mill; and his brother-in-law Murray White.
