She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Ghant and Juanita Ghant; her grandson Matthew Kerr; and also, William Mothershed and John Kerr.
She is survived by: her children, Joey Mothershed (Donna), Patricia Williams (Dale), Etta Mothershed (Eric), Alex Kerr (Donna), Kelly Kerr Matthews (Rob) and Steve Kerr (Darlene); and her grandchildren, Katherine Williams, Sarah Williams, Brad Kerr, Megan Kerr, Trey Kerr, Trevor Kerr, Riley Matthews and Jonathan Matthews. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Palmetto Funeral Home (2049 Carolina Pl, Fort Mill, SC 29708). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Unity Cemetery (303 Tom Hall St, Fort Mill, SC 29715).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by donating to Samaritan's Purse or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, two causes she supported faithfully throughout her life.
