Hazel Drawdy Smith Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Hazel Drawdy Smith in Fort Mill, South Carolina is shared. Hazel, born on July 19, 1937, passed away on November 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Zack Smith of Monroe; her parents, Charles "Red" Drawdy and Gertrude Drawdy Hunter; her stepfather Rubin Hunter; and her siblings, Leroy "Junior" Drawdy of Rock Hill and Elsie Drawdy Melton Funderburk of Rock Hill.
She is survived by: her sons, Eddie Smith (Heidi) of Fort Mill and Randy Smith (Julie) of Fort Mill; her half-brother Edward Drawdy of Alexandria, VA; her sister-in-law Vivian Price of Huntersville; and her caregiver Jill Mendenhall of Fort Mill. She is also survived by friends, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Palmetto Funeral Home (2049 Carolina Pl, Fort Mill, SC 29708). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carolinas Cornerstone Church (1790 Gardendale Rd, Fort Mill, SC 29708). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at the Unity Cemetery.
