She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Brown (Austin) and Dan E. Waite; and her brother Daniel A. Waite. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Rich" Lindstrom; her children, Donna Wright (Tom Kern) of Gruene, TX, Scott Smith (Karen) of Pineville, NC, Peter Smith (Tania) of Forestville, NY, Todd Smith (RoseAngela) of Stuart, FL and Ryan Smith (Tiffanie) of Fort Mill, SC.; her grandchildren, Nicole, Peter James, Buck, Addison, Chase and Easton; her great grandchildren, Amelia, Thomas, Peter and Nicholas; and her siblings, Sharon Washburn (Jon), Paula Waite and Brian Waite (Pam).
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (8015 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28277). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Home of Ryan and Tiffanie Smith.
In honor of her life, and her lifelong love for Labrador retrievers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA or the Humane Society of your choice.
