He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Eugene Newell Sr. and Margaret Lucille Newell; his son Chris Newell; and his sister Theresa Newell. He is survived by: his wife Terrie Lynn Newell; his sons, Daniel Newell (Brittany) of Fort Mill, SC and Corey Newell of Fort Mill, SC; his siblings, Donnie Newell (Robin) of Edgemoor, SC and Mitch Newell (Lynn) of Fort Mill, SC; his grandchildren, Christopher Newell, Lauren Newell, Tucker Newell, Savannah Newell, Will Newell, Colton Newell, Cadence Newell, Chloe Zessin and Waylon Zessin; and his great grandchild Kai Bargas.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church (333 US-21, Fort Mill, SC 29715). A reception was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
