He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerardo Gómez and Juana Rubalcaba; and his sisters, Romana Gómez and María Gómez. He is survived by: his wife Carmen Lariz Gonzales; his children, Juana Gómez, Lupe Gómez, Carmela Gómez, Yadira Gómez, Beto Gómez, Ezequiel Gómez, Manuel Gómez, Jesús Gómez, Víctor Gómez and Julio Gómez; and his siblings, Simona Gómez, Luis Gómez, Juan Gómez and Olegario Gómez. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
