It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Odell Pettus (Fort Mill, South Carolina), who passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel N. Pettus and Mable Lee Broome Pettus; his wife Patsy Walker Pettus; and his brother Hoyle Gene Pettus. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Michael Pettus and Carolyn Pettus Flenniken; and his grandchildren, Thomas Michael Pettus Jr. (Mary), Jason Scott Pettus (Melissa), Michael Adam Pettus (Sheila), Richard Brian Gardner (Karen), Dana Flenniken Jackson (Russ) and Christy Michelle Flenniken. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
