He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Fuller and Florence Sumeral Fuller; his wife Janet Young Fuller; and his brother Junior Fuller. He is survived by: his children, Marsha Fuller Bartlett, Susan Fuller and Walter Gene Fuller Jr. (Rusty); his grandchildren, Scott Vick, Brad Vick, Holly Turner, Lindsay Beach and Drew Horne; and his niece Ginger Hurst.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorials made in Gene's honor to Providence Care. 500 Lakeshore Parkway, Rock Hill SC 29730.
