She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Patterson and Bernice Patterson (Quigley); her brothers, Robert and James; her sisters-in-law, Karen Andersen, Hazel Andersen and Roxie Patterson; and her nephews, Roy Patterson, Daniel Johnson, Kevin Andersen and Michael Andersen.
She is survived by: her close friend Helen Davis (Dugan); her son Matt; her husband Kenneth Andersen of Burlington, IL; her children, Nicholas Andersen (Michelle) of Sycamore, IL, Mathew Andersen (Julie) of Rochelle, IL, Sara Burchard (Andersen) of Simpsonville, SC, Jennifer Andersen Smith (Craig) of Marietta, GA and Martha Carlson (Terry) of Simpsonville, SC.; her grandchildren, Kristina Crabtree of Sycamore, IL, Samantha Blake (Steven) of Kirkland, IL, Joseph Thompson of Somerville, MA, Marisa Thompson of DeKalb, IL, Andrew Thompson of Sycamore, IL, Kyle James of Cortland, IL, Alex Burchard of Sycamore, IL, Jacob Williams (Jasmine) of Canton, GA, Bethany Bailey (Zachary) of Woodstock, GA, Reba Van Faussien (Brock) of Perry, GA, Jack Williams (Raina) of Woodstock, GA, Benjamin, Everett and Henry Carlson of Simpsonville, SC.; her sister Lydia Johnson (Steven) of Davis, IL; her siblings-in-law, James Andersen of Clinton, MO and Joyce Dunlap (Michael) of Burlington, IL; her stepsiblings, Stanley Herrmann of Belvidere, IL and Donna Zoellner (Herrmann); and her sister-in-law Carol Conro of Hampshire, IL.. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many foster children, nephews and nieces.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church (2252 Woodruff Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681).
The family is encouraging donations to establish a memorial fund with the School Sisters of St. Francis and a scholarship fund for St. Mary's Catholic School in Sycamore, IL.
