He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Lafayette Calvert, Sr. and Ruby Thompson Calvert; his sons, Clifton "Trey" Calvert III and Lonnie Ivey; his siblings, Lowell Calvert, Ruby Nell Skeens and Mary Jo Hufshmidt; his half-sisters, Ella Mae Calvert Smith and Catherine Peden Padgett; and his grandson Richard Langley.

He is survived by: his children, Sandi Cannon (Jeff) and James D. Ivey (Allyson); his grandchildren, Joseph Griffith (Nikki), Jeffrey Griffith (Rachel), Jenna McConaghy (Trent), Rachel Smith (Stephen) and Leah Parker (Justin); his great grandchildren, Georgia, Luke, Adeline, Emma, Noah, Bentley, Haven, Eli and Parker; his close friend Jewell Dillard; his nephew Jimmy Hendrix; Andrea Talley.
