He is survived by: his son Guy Simmons; his siblings, Virgil Simmons (Debo), Roger Simmons and Linda Bragg; his granddaughters, Caroline Edmondson (Paul) and Sara Grace Simmons; and his great grandchild Jolie Mae Edmondson.
