She was predeceased by : her husband Dexter Lee Clardy; her parents, David Melvin Shaver and Effie Crocker Shaver; her son Charles Brown; her siblings, Ernest Shaver, Joseph Shaver, Jerry Shaver, Linda Shaver, Geneva Hurley, Dorothy Nelson and Daisy Bagwell; and her grandson Christopher Burton.

She is survived by : her children, Marty Brown and Lynn Harbeson (Carl); her sister Kathleen Ivy; and her grandchildren, Marcus Brown (Alicia), Jonathan Burton (McCoy), Katrina Cunningham (Chris), Brittany Norris (Keith), Alicia Brown (Dion), Josh Brown (Bonnie), Kyle Brown (Jessica) and Hope Steese (Shane).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fletcher Funeral Service (1218 N Main St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens (3302 US-25, Greenwood, SC 29646).
