James left this world on June 8, 2025 at the age of 75, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daisy and James; and his sisters, Betty Jean and Susan Sizemore. He is survived by: his wife Mary Anna Sizemore of Fountain Inn, SC; his children, Sonya Alston (Ivan) of Vernon Hills, IL, Reginald Sizemore (Rebecca) of Drexel Hill, PA and Tiffany Cherry (Scean) of King; his grandchildren, Ivan Alston, Jr., Nykia, Renard, Antwoine, Nathaniel, Seth, Christopher Sizemore, Jabari, Bryson and Bailey Cherry; his great grandchild Kylee Johnson; his siblings, Juanita Sizemore, Patricia Sizemore, Jeanette Greene, Phyllis Oliver (Demetrius), Jacqueline Madden (Calvin), Rachel Sizemore and Stephen Sizemore; and his cousins, Gwendolyn Sizemore, Geraldine Sizemore, Janice Clarke and Frenchy Sizemore. He is also survived by siblings-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Old Pilgrim Baptist Church (3540 Woodruff Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
